Friction Forecast: Weekly 'Outfit' Planning

A peek into my weekly rack, pulled using my friction formula. Not a day-by-day plan, but a wearable mood board.
24

Here it is! My how-to, or rather, how I prep for the week without planning daily outfits.

I got a little vulnerable in this one and shared why I approach weekly planning the way I do. I do see the value in shortlisting items. Making sure you’re getting good CPW, setting some intention so not everything is a last-minute crisis in front of the mirror.

But I also don’t like planning exact outfits. My friction formula gives me a more flexible, more delightful in-between: just enough structure to not spiral, just enough freedom to dress based on who I am that day.

Also: because my priority this week was wearing underused pieces, a lot of what I pulled is older season. So today’s link roundup has many SAD LINKS (sold-out items). Sorry! As always, I included them anyway so you can hunt them down pre-loved. I also added ALTs where I could i.e. pieces with a similar mood even if they’re not exact swaps.

Let me know if this was helpful or at least interesting. I know it’s not the usual way people “outfit plan.” But never any harm in trying something new! Try it out and see what happens. Worst case, you deviate. I probably will too.
