What's on MY Tibi sale list (and hopefully cart by now)
I am actually buying these things, the only way I would also recommend them to you. Proceed with caution Tibi sale is final sale!
I am writing this on Saturday, May 31st, while on my looooong flight from Sydney to Los Angeles. I will schedule this to be posted the day the Tibi sale goes LIVE (suspected date is Jun 4th, was I right?) because we know items move fast. Butbutbut, I already wrote about the sale, yeah? See, in my last post I had shared what I recommend YOU buy based on the items I already own and love. I was 100% confident in those recommendations, no questions asked.
This time around? It's a different vibe, but just as exciting. I'm about to share what I am personally considering buying from the sale. I have high confidence these will all work for me, but not much personal experience yet. Whether they'll be a hit for you is, of course, a whole other story. That depends on your style, your needs, and also, your wants.
So why am I even sharing this?
Since I started posting my styling playtime here, a bunch of you have left such kind comments about the pieces in my closet about how they feel interesting or unexpected. So I figured it might be helpful (or at least fun?) to show you how I choose those pieces in the first place. What I’m seeing when I look at a product page, what makes something cart-worthy. If this kind of behind-the-scenes peek is useful, I’ll do one again when the January sale hits. And if not? No hard feelings. Just ignore me and I’ll keep it moving. :)
My quick stats if you need sizing help: I am 5’7. Long torso, short legs. 39’ bust, 40’ hips.
Here’s my list as of now. I have a longer list than budget allows so I can make game time decisions based on what is left, how I feel that day, and what might actually be on sale. So without further ado:
Bonded Viscose Easy V Neck, Size M, Heather Baby Blue
Why: Tried it. Loved it. Knew it would hit the sale based on how many people were (not) scooping it up, so I played the waiting game. The belting detail can alter the shape, the fabric is thick but cozy, and the colors? Chef’s kiss. It’s that elusive combo of elevated and easy.
Why not: Only way this doesn’t end up in my closet is if y’all beat me to it.
Styling possibilities: This top has friction in that it is a casual silhouette, but in an elevated fabric. This means, it can easily dress up a chill bottom like joggers, and just as easily calm down more formal pants. See, when items have a bit of two elements, they become such a helpful styling tool. That plus the possibility of belting it at the bottom means you could EASILY manipulate shapes. For example, belt it if you want to reign in a poofy skirt. Or belt it and tuck it in so it looks like a balloon silhouette.
Cassiterite Suede Easy T-Shirt, Size M & Cassiterite Suede Pull On Full Skirt, Size M
Why: This is what I call a sale unicorn: luxury fabric, classic silhouette, emotionally supportive color, 40% off. Tibi suede is the good stuff. This set is a forever buy. Haven’t tried it on, but I trust the fit based on past experience. This was always a matter of when, not if.
Why not: Might hold out for further markdowns depending on stock and how it depletes.
Styling possibilities: Again, there’s that friction. See, both these silhouettes are very easy going and chill. It’s a tee, and a pull on skirt. BUT, the fabric is elevated. Do you see the theme? This means they will work for ANY occasion, and can act as a lever both to calm down, or zhuzh up any outfit. AND, I want to invest in the set because worn together they become a very dressed up going out outfit with the right accessories (but the shapes being chill means I will still feel like me).
Crispy Sleeveless Sweater, Size L, Baby Blue
Why: I’ve been wanting a(nother) tank that’s not a snooze because the one I have right now is in white. This has sheerness, a little texture, and a shape that isn’t basic. I tried it on, liked it, and held off only because I wanted to see how much wear I was getting out of the other similar piece I already own (spoiler: a lot).
Why not: Might deprio based on what else I get, since I have a similar tank top in active knit already.
Styling possibilities: I like how dressed up this tank looks even though it’s ‘just a tank’ and in a fairly summery fabric. See this has friction built in but the other way. The silhouette is more dressy and special, but the fabric is very chill. If I am feeling boring in an outfit, all I need to do is wear the tank underneath whatever top I am wearing, and the straps peeking out will immediately add interest. I also like that worn by itself (with pants, I mean), it is an instant perfect ingredient for pajama dressing. Big impact with no effort.
Sheer gauze easy tee, Size M, White
Why: I LOVE the lightness (literal, figurative) a sheer tee brings to any outfit. I am trying to figure out how to do summer layering this year and this would be a great tool to achieve that. PLUS, I ADORE the easy tee shape.
Why not: Honestly, I might not get it because I cannot decide on a color. OR because I might actually want it in the lavender/mint from a couple of seasons ago and would rather just look for that pre-loved.
Styling possibilities: You would think sheer is hard to style BUTBUTBUT what if you stop thinking about this as a sheer top, and start thinking about it as an element that adds a layer without added bulk. If anything, this will make an outfit look LIGHTER while covering you up. For example, a strappy tank dress that I wouldn’t wear to work by itself, throw on this tee and now it feels less ‘sexy’.
Bonded Viscose Sculpted Sleeveless Top, Size M, Heather Grey
Why: If I get the full sleeved version of this, do I also need this version? I think so. See, I do need a summer top that is casual but doesn’t look casual. I tried this version of the same shape that people LOVE, but it did not work for me. The fabrication was simply too casual and drapey. If the shape of a top is less dressed up, I need the fabrication to be sturdy and have gravitas. This top does that.
Why not: I might decide I do not need both this and long sleeved if budget is being exceeded.
Styling possibilities: I am realizing now that instead of adding a ‘styling possibilities’ for each item I should have just called out ‘friction’ as the reason I am buying any of them. I mean, that is one of my most used tools in styling so makes sense? I already talked about the friction of the chill silhouette to the dressy fabric in the full sleeved version above. So why this if I already grab that other one? TWO TOTALLY SEPARATE FUNCTIONS! No I am not making excuses I promise this makes sense. See, this one is more summer appropriate. Also, it broadens the shoulders. So the way I think about this as a tool is ‘a top that emphasizes my shoulders and will make my dressy bottoms wearable day to day’.
Eco Poplin Hooded Shirt, Size M, Navy
Why: Friction! Built! In! It’s a hoodie...but it’s poplin. Yes please. This is exactly the kind of piece that lets me mess with vibes and mix moods. Makes a trouser skirt feel sporty or denim feel smarter. Also, navy is my soft spot.
Why not: TBD depending on the hooded-top battle royale below.
Styling possibilities: I am afraid to say the F word again. But yeah, that. That’s what I would do with it. Wear it with joggers for a dressy casual look. Or wear it with trousers for a casual dressy look. So versatile. I would also wear it under another top to have the hood peek out. Trés chic!
Shirred Nylon Hoodie With Cocoon Back, Size M, Aubergine
Why: See reason for hooded top above. The reason I would get this one is because I have the matching skirt already. And why not make it a set if I want a top with a hood anyway?
Why not: Probably won’t get both this and the poplin one. But I will get one. Let the hoodie games begin.
Styling possibilities: Same as above. See, this is the only true duplicate on this list. They serve the exact same function.
Cavalier Twill Shrunken Blazer, Size 10 & Cavalier Twill Colt Trouser, Size 10R in Desert Tan
Why: This color in person? Ridiculous. You wouldn’t know from the site photos, but in real life (I saw it first at a Tibi event), it fully converted me. It is like a silvery, tan-y, grey that shimmers without glittering. I tried it on and the fabric is soft like pajamas, but the cut means business. As someone who wears suits a lot, this shape would actually be new for me, and get worn.
Why not: If it sells out before I land, it’s game over. Otherwise? Manifesting.
Styling possibilities: Gimme an F….Gimme an R…..Gimme an I…. (you get the rest). If I stop being a fool for a second (must be that 10,000 meters elevation), I don’t currently own a fitted cropped blazer. What this would unlock is the ability to create a crisper shape on my top half. Plus the bottoms are so perfect in how they will calm down a crisp button down, but also fancify a simple graphic tee (can you see it?)
Other items, low on the consideration list:
Tropical Wool Walker Wide Leg Pant, Size 10S, Artichoke: I love my Murray wide legged pants but those are wool. These are kiiiinda like summer versions of that. Plus I tried this color on and loved it! Love a green leaning ring 3.
Tropical Wool Cropped Lean Double Breasted Shirt Jacket, Size 10, Artichoke: I love a suit. If I get the pants, I WILL grab the jacket. I always regret not doing that. Having the whole suit means the styling possibilities are endless. Plus this jacket works as a shirt.
Tropical Wool Short, Size 10, Navy: It’s bermuda season and I love the idea of wearing a chill suit if I pair this up with any of my navy blazers.
Tropical Wool Collarless Blazer, Size 10, Navy: Real talk? This might move up the list by the time I land. See, I started off not wanting this because I have a navy blazer already that I do not wear. BUT, I realize it’s because that piece lacks enough….you gueessed it, FRICTION. It is the Marlon which is fitted and shorter. I love that the lack of collar makes it dorky casual. And that little cutout at the back. BUT, we will see.
That’s the cart (for now)1. It will most likely get shortlisted based on stock, mood, and how much chaos I’m willing to absorb into my closet that I am otherwise happy with.
Before you go... a few Tibi Sale shopping tips:
Start with your closet. Ask: What do I actually need? Not hypothetically, right now. Especially look for gaps in color (Ring 3s if you’re low!) or silhouette. Then filter the sale through that lens.
Stock up on high-ticket staples. This is the moment for investment pieces like the suede sets or bonded viscose even if the season isn’t right. You’ll feel smug in 3 months when you’re reaching for them on repeat.
But also? Buy the “Have to Have.” It’s okay to grab something a little less practical if your heart’s screaming for it. Sales are a great time to test-drive those HTH/In-n-Out pieces without full-price guilt.
Run the “Will I wear this tomorrow?” test. If the answer’s yes (or hell yes), that’s a green light. Not everything needs to be WOF-approved if you’re excited to put it on immediately.
If you’ve never tried Tibi, now is NOT the time to experiment. Their fits are particular. Quirky in the best way. But you kind of have to speak the language first. Stick to pieces you’ve seen IRL or tried on, or proceed with caution.
Remember: your cart is not a commitment. I keep a longer list than my budget allows, so I can make game-time decisions based on what’s left, what’s marked down, and what I’m actually in the mood for that day.
See you on the other side of checkout ✌️

OK, this is editing Asta. Reading this on June 3rd. I did decide to place my order with the stylists already yesterday vs. waiting to order on the site. So I DO know what I ended up getting. I am thinking I will do a LIVE this weekend to do a try on and share with y’all. I am also not revealing the exact shortlisted items yet because guys who knows if that was final final we will see (on Saturday).
I had to come to my senses and abandon my sale cart. When movie production stabilizes maybe I can hit leftovers but for now I’m living through y’all, please post the fits!
This really could have come in handy for my cosplay… but that’s all right!! Bookmarking “casual silhouette in elevated fabric” for future, personal use!
