For the Stellas give away: When getting dressed, I feel the most like myself when I hit that magical combo of ease and a touch of the unexpected. I live in a very casual city, and I'm not that casual of a person!
Oof, I felt this: “I live in a very casual city, and I'm not that casual of a person!” That tension is such fertile ground for good outfits. Ease + unexpected is such a sweet spot. Thank you for putting that into words so well!
You’ve been so fun to watch and “get to know” on this platform and on Instagram/Facebook!! Such a joy!!
I will also throw my hat in the ring for your Stella giveaway: I feel most like myself when I’m “C and C”. “Cute and comfortable”. As a 54-year-old woman with a little more time for herself, it’s been super fun playing with creative yet pragmatic looks since discovering Tibi in early 2023. Some hits, some misses, but I have always enjoyed shaking up the ordinary a bit and also playing with color. Tibi has allowed me to have fun playing again! And doesn’t everyone feel like themselves when they’re playing????🎉
This made me smile so big. Thank you! It’s been equally fun seeing familiar faces pop up across platforms. And I love “C and C”. Cute and comfortable is such an underrated power combo. It’s giving ease and energy. The fact that you’re leaning into play and color and creative pragmatism is everything. Totally agree: the best outfits feel like dress-up for grown-ups.
Sipping tea and watching the try on? Best morning ever! As much as I like the clothes, I love hearing your philosophy (too fancy a word?) behind what you choose and how you put it together. As good as any Tibi style class - I'm learning so much! And realizing how much our hair is a part of the equation. Yours: a luxurious frame. Mine: requires attention! Thanks for sharing the fun!
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, hair is such a big part of it. Part of my journey is figuring out how to look more glamorous when I want to without doing anything to my hair. It gives off free spirit so much that it colors everything in that vein.
Forgot to add, re. Winslows. There is a certain confidence that comes from feeling good in your own skin, something that can be elusive after 60. Everything changes. And if you seek out advice online you are hit by countless “style experts” who will tell you how to dress to change the way your body looks rather than figuring out what makes us feel great. I’m just now discovering that I prefer a certain “swish” and fluidity to my garments and I absolutely cannot stand to feel constricted in my clothing. Enter Tibi. It was like someone turned on the lightbulb. Enjoying discovering myself and my personal style aesthetic. Finally.
I love this! So much power in leaning into what feels natural and right to us vs what the experts say. I feel like there are too many expert voices especially during transitionary phases like after a big birthday, post partum etc and they always try to make one fit the template.
I find that often times in the live style class, certain items are dressed on certain ppl bcs their shape suits and sits better on them. So I’m usually very careful with deciding. I’m like, ok it looks good on her but will it on me? What I like about this try on is that we see it all on one person so it kind of gives a better idea! Especially since we are similar is measurements. Anyways, super helpful. Stuff is sold out now but sure things will resurface on sale-fail here and there
Yes, I hear you. That’s why I also like trying things on one after the other. The reference point is fixed and you can contrast and compare fabrics, shapes, silhouettes etc.
Fingers crossed we all run across our wanted items one way or another. We usually do.
For the Stella's give away: It is when I'm not thinking about my outfit or what I'm wearing or when I'm nervous about something but do it anyway. It's looking down and taking a deep breathe, catching a sight of my bright orange penny loafers and introducing myself to my entire law school class. It's last Friday dancing and meeting new friends at a wedding without adjusting straps, worried about the fabric, loving the soft cinnamon swish of nylon, or the pure joy of purple jelly shoes with some fresh soul (pun intended) that would make 8 year old Wendy envious (although she'd agree they're not sparkly enough).
Okay this is basically a short film and I loved every frame. The orange penny loafers. The swish of nylon. The purple jelly shoes with fresh soul (!!). It’s so clear you feel your outfits in motion. not just how they look, but how they carry you. And that’s the dream, right? Clothes that let us show up fully without fussing or fidgeting. Thank you for sharing this!
This was a Master Class in so many ways. Thank you, Asta! As a Tibi fan who struggles with buying final sale without a previous try-on, I learned so much. You know your body, your style and Tibi sizing so well. A chef's kiss video! 💖
Ahh thank you!! This means a lot, especially coming from a fellow Tibi fan navigating the final sale trenches. I’ve definitely had my fair share of “oops, not my proportions” moments, so I try to pass along the hard-won lessons. So glad it was helpful <3
Not only do I love watching you try on clothes because we’ve got the same proportions (5’7” long torso, short legs, etc. etc.), but you also just got me through a heinous Glute Day at the gym while I soaked in all this glorious info. And now? I somehow want to spend more money—which is ridiculous, obviously—but wildly entertaining all the same.
Love how you styled all the purchases from sale. I had an aha moment when you swapped out for the yellow under layer to show how that makes the combo look more intentional. I have an idea/request for you to do a color and Tibi-adjacent post that I will send you. thanks for all the great inspo.
You of course look fab in everything and have me questioning whether I need more!!
For the giveaway (which is my size!): I feel the best when I’m wearing something that is a bit more structured but still chill. Being a mom of two young kids means it’s often too easy to be in shapeless blah clothing. To fade into the background. I want to feel considered but not done up. So that currently means wearing things in nice fabrications and shapes.
Oooh, I love this game! For the giveaway: I have been mulling over my three words recently (or like, for months). I had AI help me with some photos and I got “structured, subversive, and cool”. Now, I didn’t know what the hell subversive meant. I looked it up. “ seeking or intending to subvert an established system or institution.”
Hello, this word not only describes my style but my whole life. Subverting, what’s expected, gender norms, body shame. I love menswear and oversized items. I feel most like me when I’m subverting what’s expected.
More try ons in the future pls! I enjoyed this so much. I’m new to Tibi but quickly have become a huge fan. As an artist their colors and shapes really speak to me. I can only afford to buy second hand or on sale so understanding their sizing is key since usually items are final sale. Enjoying your descriptions
For the giveaway amazing pants ... I feel myself when I’m able to move about my day without noticing my outfit. ( at all)
It’s a weird feeling or non feeling like we are in unison / harmony / instep.
But the reality of this simple statement is not simple.
I’ve worked hard for the past few years to replicate and pinpoint or figure out how/ why / what the recipe card is for this magic feeling or non feeling.
I’m actually not sure I’m much closer to articulating what it’s made up of.
I definitely know it when I feel it.
I know it’s a feeling and not an aesthetic.
I know I’m 100% comfy, and look effortless, quirky and a touch interesting, but kind of invisible all at once.
I know I smile bigger on those days and glow a bit more
Was it me and my own vibe that day that created the feeling, or was it the outfit ... hmmm I’m actually not sure
It still feels like a magical slightly elusive feeling after all this time, but I continue the quest to bottle it and replicate it.
It’s a treat to be able to discuss and explore fashion and style with such wonderful intelligent women.

This sums up so many women I work with. I think our lives have also become so casual! A great description!!
I agree. I feel the same way

My hair is also curly and a statement. It cannot be tamed. Agree it gives off free-spirit vibes!
Yes, love curly hair! I tried the CGM for a bit then gave up. I now do WGM (Wavy girl method) i.e. just let it air dry and whatever happens happens.
Good luck! Style is an endless journey - and a fun one!
“When do you feel the most yourself in your clothes? A specific outfit? A vibe? A moment?”
For me, it’s alchemy. When the formula is right something locks in place and it’s as if I could LIVE in the outfit forever!
Yes! Love that feeling.

Aw that's such a kind and generous compliment. Thank you so much!

Such a good idea to watch clothes stuff while working out! I’m going to start doing that too. Thank you for watching and thanks for the idea.
So I caved and bought the dress in 2 sizes because stock was so low. 😬
Now the question is, “Do I want it to work?” 🤷🏻♀️
Which dress? The Adele? If so I’m excited for you!!
Yes! 😬🤦♀️
So excited! Good luck it works out how you want it to. 😆
🤣

Thank you so much and welcome to Tibi. It’s a good life :) thanks for the encouragement I really appreciate it.

I loooove this SO much, Rachel. Thank you for articulating a feeling so beautifully.
Soooo happy for you!! Such good buys. Loved watching you try them!!
Thank you for the giveaway. So generous of you.
Thank you, Xue ❤️
