👋 first off thx for mentioning. I just realised I have 3 subscribers 😂 maybe it’s time to start posting just for fun. Also, I think how you think about packing is very ‘open minded’ and fluid. If I compare it to my train of thought, I usually look at colours, and make sure ‘it goes with other colours’ but you didn’t mention it at all, so that was a game changer for me, also, let’s face it, it’s a lot easier with Tibi to mix and match, they just make everything work. I want to be able to be more relaxed in packing and a lot of what you did helped me hone in on the vibes to bring in. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Yes! All the colors definitely work together. The way I think about color is more the location. And then plan a palette around that roughly. Like for NYC I might pack mostly black. Browns and navy for Sydney winter time. But I do always pack all colors just in different proportions and trust it will work (it usually does).
Circling back with an answer re migrating to Indyx if anyone is interested. Unfortunately Indyx do not help with importing data into the app. They can back with an answer that it’s a process to be initiated by the app you want to migrate from. Personally o think I’ll stick to Stylebook. I’m just too busy to deal with it rn. But possibly later on I will. The app offers filtering that others don’t and I think it comes in handy if one has heaps of stuff to filter through 👍🏻👍🏻
Very helpful, Ty Orit. I do believe any of these solutions could work for us. Also, the features that some have and others don’t, I bet they will also incorporate. Makes sense to stick with what you have been using.
Fellow Indyx super user here chiming in that I pack this way too. I love how easily I can do it from the couch. I've already started thinking ahead to summer travel collections - naturally with the sale Tibi items I hope to pick up next week 🤪
They have a paid service where they will do it for you, like people will come to your place to do it. I considered that but then dropped the idea coz that’s the price of one Tibi sale item 🤣
What I did instead was documenting my outfit every day. It seemed light weight enough to do that. And then in a month or so I was addicted to using it and ended up cataloging the rest.
You had my rapt attention…this was better than Netflix! I admire your thought process and organization. Will definitely check out Indyx. The initial uploading of items from my jam-packed closet is daunting, but I’m going start with all my Tibi. You always inspire something new for me 💟
Aw thank you for watching and for your kind words. I am the same as you! It is so daunting to upload things. What I did that worked was I started with only uploading my daily outfits. I was excited about the clothes I was wearing every day and it was easy to take photos of them before I put them on. After a month, I had built quite a good repository. Then I started seeing the data and it encouraged me to upload everything.
Good idea, Asta, to start by uploading daily outfits to avoid overwhelm which inevitably is paralyzing. I sense the data will also encourage wiser shopping, which I could definitely perfect. Thanks for the tip! My life is very California casual, but I still learn packing principles from your business trip videos, so please continue.
