First, if I missed your question or if you have another, ask in my substack Chat please?
I’m currently in the middle of a frantic packing session because I leave for my trip tomorrow, but I didn’t want to leave you all hanging during the Tibi Sale! I just finished a quick live session to answer your questions and do a few “over-the-pajamas” try-ons.
If you missed the live, you can watch the rewatch above. Here is the “cheat sheet” of everything we covered, from sizing dramas to my honest thoughts on quality.
Golden rule of Tibi final sale sizing
Before we get into the items: Sizing is weird right now. I’ve noticed a shift lately—either they are cutting things smaller or my body is shifting (though my old Tibi still fits fine!).
My advice: Do not order just based on what I say. Talk to the Tibi stylists. They are excellent, kind, and will save you from final sale regrets.
Shoes
My “true” Tibi size is 38.5, but that changes constantly depending on the toe box.
Bronson Boots: I went a half-size up (39). I have larger calves, and these work perfectly. They are the shoes I get asked about most on Instagram.
Kuda & Bux Boots: I went with a 39 in both. The Kuda has a narrow toe, so that extra half-size is essential. (Note: the white has a “painted” texture that might crack over time, I think it adds character, but be aware!)
Alan Heel: Surprisingly, I stayed with my true 38.5. These are incredibly walkable and not too feminine if you style them with something “grungy” like a graphic tee.
Herbert Loafers (Pony Hair): I went a full size up to 39.5.
A note: I personally haven’t had issues with Tibi shoe quality, but I know others have. Gather diverse perspectives before you drop the money!
The clothes
Eco Poplin Bubble Skirt: I took a Medium. It is so much “poofier” and more structured in person than the Bio Twill version. I’m obsessed with the volume.
Asymmetrical Wrap Blazer: I’m usually a size 10, but I took a 14 in this. It didn’t feel oversized; it just felt right.
Crochet Fringe Skirt: I sized up to a 12. It’s thick, structural, and has a mini-skirt panel thingie so you aren’t totally flashing everyone.
Cardigan Stitch Split Front Crewneck: I took a Medium. It’s not scratchy (unlike the lambswool or mohair), but the neck is high. If you feel “choked” by high necks, skip it. If not, it’s the perfect “grab-and-go” work sweater.
Leon check skirt: Stayed with my usual 10. Warning: This is cut very straight. If you have hips or a butt, you will likely need to size up.
A little substack heart to heart
I’ll be honest, I’ve been a bit quiet on Substack lately. Between the algorithm feeling a bit “unfair” to those of us without paid subs and a wave of random “hate comments” from men who stumbled onto my last live... it was a lot.
But I’m still here because this community is the best. Your questions are thoughtful, and I love that we can geek out over a specific shade of “Ring 3” burgundy (it’s a purple-y wine color, and it’s stunning, by the way).
What’s next!
I’m off to finish packing (and hopefully fit that silver Cult Gaia bag into my suitcase).
Have more questions about a specific sale piece? Drop them in the Substack Chat or DM me on Instagram (@astaharts). I’ll be checking in!
